Fishing – Catch redfish, trout, flounder, drum, and maybe a shark or a hammerhead. The fishing pier is a short walk from Bay Vista RV park and of course there is easy beach fishing, wade fishing and explore and try your luck in the lagoons. There are numerous fishing guides available in the area that provide an unforgettable fishing experience.
Walk along the beach – Enjoy a beautiful sunrise or sunset as you walk along the beach. Pick up some shells and maybe a sand dollar or two.
Visit historic Indianola – Learn about the early history of Texas and the Indianola area. Visit the La Salle Monument where some of the earliest settlers first set foot on Texas soil.
Explore the lagoons and backwaters – You are almost certain to see some of the plentiful wildlife in the area. Just be sure to be careful around some of the critters because they can bite.
Rest, relax, and rejuvenate – Enjoy the peaceful solitude of being on the ocean, close to nature. Sit back and gaze at the stars at night and you will see that the Texas sky really is “big and bright”.
